4 charged in June murders of Evergreen men

Bodies were found near Covington County line
Three men and a woman have been arrested for the murder of two Evergreen men whose bodies were found near the Covington County/Butler County line in June 2018.
The following defendants are charged with crimes related to the burglary, robbery, kidnapping and murders of Cortez Dees and Luman Williams, who were shot to death on June 2, 2018, on Dilly Hill Road in the Garland community:
Courtney Andrews, 31, of Birmingham, was arrested on September 21 for making a false statement to an agent of the Attorney General’s Office. She was subsequently also charged and arrested on September 24 with four counts of capital murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence;
Nathaniel Anthony Fortune, 29, of Birmingham, was arrested on September 27 and charged with four counts of capital murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence;
Kaia Fortune, 18, of Birmingham, was arrested on October 12 and charged with four
counts of capital murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence; and
Johnathan Leonard Willis, 35, of Birmingham, was arrested on October 9 and charged with four counts of capital murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
Attorney General Steve Marshall announced the arrest on Thursday. The cases will be prosecuted by AG’s Criminal Trials Division.
