Still some fight left in RLHS

The Red Level Tigers (4-4, 3-3) don’t control their own destiny, but a win over Georgiana (8-1, 6-0) on Friday night in Georgiana would help the Tigers.

Red Level would need to beat Georgiana and would then need Kinston to beat Florala for chance to earn the fourth playoff spot in the region.

It’s a tall order for the Tigers as they go up against a Georgiana team that hasn’t played in many close games this year.

The Panthers beat Pleasant Home (40-0), McKenzie (55-0) and Kinston (46-0).

Florala played the Panthers as close as any Class 1A team has this year, but the Wildcats fell to Georgiana 35-28.

Red Level picked up four-straight wins during the middle portion of the season, but the Tigers have faced the regions top teams in recent weeks that put a damper on their playoff hopes.

Red Level and Georgiana will begin at 7 p.m., Friday in Georgiana.
