The Andalusia Bulldogs (6-4, 4-3) wrapped up the regular season last Friday with a win over Clarke County, but now the Bulldogs are in wait-and-see mode to find out if they have done enough to earn a spot in the Class 4A playoffs.

Andalusia finds themselves in a three-way tie with Williamson and Escambia County for the third and fourth seeds in region one.

In this scenario, the Bulldogs will either be the third seed or they will miss the playoffs.

The most important factor for the Bulldogs will be for Vigor to beat Williamson on Friday.

If Williamson defeats Vigor, Williamson would win the third seed and then Andalusia and Escambia County would be tied for the fourth seed.

Escambia holds a the tie-breaker against Andalusia and would be the fourth seed in that scenario.

If Williamson is beaten by Vigor, the Bulldogs would need one of four things to occur.

Andalusia won’t know for certain about their playoff status until games conclude on Friday.

“We are have to wait and see,” Andalusia head coach Trent Taylor said. “We are treating this week like we are going to be playing a playoff game in two weeks. I’ve never been such a fan of the Selma Saints and Gulf Shores Dolphins. I would hate it if we didn’t get in because I feel like we are finally reaching our potential.” 1031 footballseedmcg
