The Red Level Tigers (5-5) finished the season strong as they picked up a 20-13 win over the Fruitdale Pirates on Friday in Fruitdale.

“We probably played the best first half that we’ve played all season,” Red Level head coach Kenny Skipper said. “We jumped out front 20-0 and then had some mistakes in the second half.”

Red Level had a big night from quarterback Kade Green.

Green threw a pair of touchdown passes from 45 and 70 yards to lead the Tigers.

Both touchdown passes were caught by Joel Phillips.

Demarcus Johnson added the final touchdown for the Tigers.

“Our defense played lights out all night,” Skipper said. “The defense only gave up 7 points tonight. Their other touchdown came off of a pick six on tipped pass.”

Skipper said this was big game for his team.

“This was really big for us to finish the year .500,” Skipper said. “These guys played really hard tonight. We went 0-10 last year and then we win five games this year. We aren’t where we want to be, but we are making progress and there are good things coming to Red Level. These kids have done everything that we’ve asked of them.”
