Charles Gary Morrison

Mr. Charles Gary Morrison, age 62, of Opp, Alabama, died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Gary is survived by his wife, Dianne Mooney Morrison; parents, Agnes Russell Morrison and Pete Morrison; brother, Jeffery Morrison and wife, Cindy; niece, Melanie Shores and husband, Brad; and great niece and nephew, Anna Klair and Tucker Shores.

Graveside services with Masonic Honors will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Opp. Visitation will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Gary Miller will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mizell Memorial Hospital Foundation or Opp Masonic Lodge 605.

The family will be receiving friends at Dianne and Gary’s home.

Ernestine Blackwell Owens

Mrs. Ernestine Blackwell Owens, age 85, of Andalusia, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Carolina Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Carolina Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Debra and John Brown and Angela Owens all of Andalusia; grandchildren, Mitchell Brown of Andalusia, Zach (Emily) Brown of South Haven, Mississippi, Melissa Brown of Andalusia; great grandchild, Adam Brown of Andalusia; special grandchild, Trask Blackwell of Andalusia; brother, Charles Blackwell of Andalusia; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Hayne Cornett of Phoenix City, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

ZACHARIAH DANIEL “DAN” STUDSTILL

Mr. Zachariah Daniel “Dan” Studstill, age 79, of Andalusia, passed away on Nov. 6, 2018, in Princeton Baptist Hospital. He was born in Andalusia, on Sept. 14, 1939, to Edith and Julian Studstill.

He was married for 59 years to his high school sweetheart, Susan Rawls Studstill of Andalusia. They enjoyed many years of family time with their two children and four grandchildren, and their recently welcomed first great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Julian Studstill.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Rawls Studstill of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Robin Studstill of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Joshua Williams of Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Sydney Foshee of Nashville, Tenn., Greeley (Taylor) Weeks, Lexie Studstill, and Stewart (Whitney) Studstill all of Andalusia; great-grandson, Wilson Ridge Studstill; brother, Charles Loftin Studstill of Andalusia; and sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Gary Pitts of Andalusia.

A funeral service was held Fri., Nov. 8, from the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jason Thrower officiating. Interment followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was at the church.

Pallbearers were Stewart Studstill, Taylor Weeks, Alex Thayer, Buddy Brannon, Johnny Harper, and Rob Martin.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be sent to The Building Fund of the First United Methodist Church, 403 East Three Notch Street, Andalusia, 36420.

JANE RILEY WIGGINS

Mrs. Jane Riley Wiggins, age 87, of the Carolina community, passed away Thurs., Nov. 8, 2018 in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Mon., Nov. 12, 2018, at the Carolina Baptist Church with Dr. Al Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Carolina Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30-7 p.m. Sunday at Foreman’s Funeral Home and 30 minutes prior to services at the church on Monday.

Her husband, Mr. Gene Wiggins, passed away in 2013.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Sharon Wiggins; her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Wiggins and Alan Windham, Amy Wiggins Morris of Andalusia, and Jill Wiggins and John McBride of Anniston; grandchildren, Russell (Kristen) Wiggins, Heather (Brian) Fleming, Shonna (Jamey) Reeves, Kristen Orton, Dave (Mandi) Morris, Chad (Robin) Morris, Emily McBride, Riley Ann McBride, and Jenny McBride, countless great-grandchildren; brother Rhett Riley, and sister-in-law Jeannette Riley of Auburn.

Pallbearers include Russell Wiggins, Dave Morris, Chad Morris, Jamey Reeves, Brian Fleming, Matthew Fleming, and Caleb Fleming.
