LEAMON EDWARD HUDSON

Mr. Leamon Edward Hudson, age 91, was born November 5, in Covington County and passed away Nov. 11, 2018, in Panama City, Fla.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Tue., Nov. 13, at Adellum Baptist Church with Brother Billy Boles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday at Adellum Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Jay Michael Hudson and his wife Lynn of Panama City Beach, Fla.; his granddaughters, Whitney Hudson Ochanda and husband Reagan and Kristin Meleah Hudson; and two great-grandchildren, Hudson Aridi Ochanda and Millie Rachael Ochanda.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Fosteen Jay Hudson, who died April 23, 2017, and their son, Timothy Lea Hudson, who died on August 8, 2000.

Leamon loved his church and community, serving as a deacon and a choir director in the Baptist Church for many years. He was also a Babe Ruth Baseball coach. He retired from the United States Post Office.

Mr. Hudson had a warm friendly smile and a willing heart to help anyone in need. Although he will be greatly missed we rejoice that he is now with our Messiah Jesus and reunited with his beautiful wife, Fosteen, who was his soulmate and rock while on Earth.

ERNIESTINE BLACKWELL OWENS

Mrs. Ernestine Blackwell Owens, age 85, of Andalusia, passed away on Thurs., Nov. 8, 2018, in Andalusia Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tues., Nov. 13, 2018, at Carolina Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Carolina Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Debra and John Brown and Angela Owens all of Andalusia; grandchildren, Mitchell Brown of Andalusia, Zach (Emily) Brown of South Haven, Miss., Melissa Brown of Andalusia; great-grandchild, Adam Brown of Andalusia; special grandchild, Trask Blackwell of Andalusia; brother, Charles Blackwell of Andalusia; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Hayne Cornett of Phoenix City, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
