6 arrested for drugs at local motel

A disturbance call at the Sunset Inn on the West Bypass in Andalusia Monday led to the arrests of five people on drug charges.

Officers were called to room 263. When they responded, they smelled the odor of marijuana. Officers secured the room and contacted the Drug Task Force.

DTF agents obtained a search warrant for the room, where they located 60 grams of synthetic marijuana, methamphetamine (Ice) and marijuana.

DTF agents arrested Frankie Owens Jr., 38, Cedric Marshall, 30, and Jordan Johns, 21, were charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia. Their bonds were set at $520,500 each.

Also arrested were Deanna Johnson, 26, and Caleb Beck, 23. They were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Their bonds were set at $13,000 each.
