Annual Andalusia Christmas Invitational tourney begins today

Teams for the surrounding areas will converge on Andalusia today as they prepare to compete in the 52nd Annual Andalusia High School Christmas Invitational Tournament.
Andalusia, Red Level, Florala, Opp, Greenville, Georgiana and Flomaton will battle it out for the tournament title.
Games begin today at 4:30 p.m., with Opp taking on Greenville.
The second game of the night will pit Florala against Georgiana at 6 p.m.
Andalusia and Red Level will wrap up the first night with their game at 7:30 p.m.
The loser between Opp/Greenville and Florala/Georgiana will play at 4:30 p.m., on Friday.
The winners of those two match ups will play at 6 p.m., on Friday.
The winner between Andalusia/Red Level will take on Flomaton at 7:30 p.m., on Friday.
The loser of Andalusia/Red Level will play the winner of Friday’s loser bracket game on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
The third place game will be played Saturday at 6 p.m.
The championship game is set for 7:30 p.m., Saturday.
Teams competing in the tournament boast strong records entering play.
Florala comes in with a 6-0 record after knocking off Zion Chapel, Freeport, Cottonwood, Laurel Hill, Samson and Red Level.
Red Level comes in at 4-4 with wins over Zion Chapel, Samson, Kinston and Freeport.
Andalusia is 2-2 on the year with wins over T.R. Miller and Pleasant Home.
Opp enters play with a 1-3 record with a win over Kinston. The Bobcats also lost in overtime to Brantley.
Georgiana is 6-0 on the year with wins over W.S. Neal, T.R. Miller, Straughn (2), Monroe County and Greenville.
Greenville is 0-1 on the season.
Flomaton is 4-2 with wins over Mobile Christian, Spanish Fort, W.S. Neal and J.U. Blacksher.
