One of Candyland’s most popular events, Cocoa and Characters, is set for 4 until 6 p.m. tomorrow, Sat., Dec. 15.

The event features popular characters from Meredith’s Miracles’ Cookies with Characters. Perennial favorites include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and Elsa, Anna and Olaf from ‘Frozen.’ Curious George, a Minion or two, Goofy, and others also have made appearances. The characters will be at Springdale on Ice.

It’s just one of the reasons Christmas in Candyland gained another accolade yesterday when Rave, an online lifestyles and product review magazine, listed the venue as one of  “America’s 25 most festive Christmas towns.”

Earlier this week, Reader’s Digest featured Candyland.

Santa also will be in Candyland tomorrow, making his weekly appearance on the Court Square from 2 until 4 p.m.

Tonight, the venues open at 5. Concerts and Carols entertainment begins at 5, and again at 7 p.m.  on the Springdale stage.

On Sunday, the Candyland venues are open from 1 until 5 p.m. For the first time ever, horse drawn carriage rides will be available for $5 per person from 1 until 5 p.m.

Admission to all Candyland venues is free. Ice skating is $5 for one hour, and a snow tube pass is $1.
