George Sidney Waits, Jr.

Mr. George Sidney Waits, Jr., age 94, of Andalusia, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Andalusia Manor.

He graduated from Andalusia High School and attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He also served in the U.S. Army in the Panama Canal Zone during WWII.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2018, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Billy Boles officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Evelyn Waits (Mac) Smith of Birmingham; son and daughter-in-law, George (Jean) Waits of Titus, AL; grandchildren, Bentley Smith Sloan, Maclin F. (Ashley) Smith IV, Yeates Smith, Dr. George S. (Charlotte) Waits IV, Capt. Luke (Danae) Waits, Libby Waits, Marianna (Daniel) Friday, Abigail (Andrew) Singer, Sterling Waits, and Shepard Waits; great grandchildren, Cobb Sloan, Miller Sloan, Dorothy Waits, Annie Smith, Eleanor Waits, Madelyn Waits; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Wilder Anderson of Destin, FL.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Polly Wilder Waits, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sidney Waits, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorials be made to: First Baptist Church of Andalusia, 700 East Three Notch St., Andalusia, AL 36420; Comfort Care Hospice, 820 South Three Notch St. Suite C, Andalusia, AL 36420; or the Three Notch Museum, P.O. Box 1582, Andalusia, AL 36420.

John Wayne

McCrory, Jr.

Mr. John Wayne McCrory, Jr., age 52, of Andalusia, passed away on Friday, December 07, 2018, in Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL.

He was dearly loved as a son, brother, father, uncle, Boy Scout leader, teacher, and friend. Even though he was a quiet soul, he will truly be missed by many! We love you, John!

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kevin Wilburn and Dr. Chip Quisenberry officiating the service. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his sons, John Wayne McCrory, III and Joey McCrory both of Elba; mother, Jeanie McCrory of Andalusia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela and Taylor Kendrick of Hoover, and Stephanie and Glenn Ruple of Bakersfield, CA; nieces, Bethany Kendrick and Emily Stroud; nephew, Jonathan Kendrick; friend and mother of their children, Lori McCrory; and his beloved dog, J.D.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Wayne McCrory, Sr.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Boy Scout Troop 46, in care of First United Methodist Church, PO Box 1066, Andalusia, AL 36420.

Janet Ameree Morris

Mrs. Janet Ameree Morris of Andalusia passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. She was 59.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2018, at Brooks Baptist Church Cemetery in McKenzie. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years, Dewayne Morris of Andalusia; sons, Michael Watts (Ashlen Douglas) of Andalusia; Kevin Watts (Theresa) of Andalusia; step- sons, David Morris (Tonya), Brian Morris of Brantley; mother-in-law, Wanda Morris of Red Level; grandchildren, Karsyn Watts, Dalton Henegan, Lakyn Stokes. Step-grandchildren, Briar Morris and Declan Morris; sisters, Debbie St.Jean of Andalusia; Carla Gonzales of Tennessee.

Mrs. Morris was a 1977 graduate of Andalusia High School and was a member of Brooks Baptist Church. She was a homemaker most of her life and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
