Law enforcement officials on Friday identified the woman killed in the Rose Hill community on Monday night.

Sheriff Dennis Meeks said Linda Michelle Reynolds, 49, was pronounced dead at her Driver Road home Monday. Deputies were called to the scene shortly after 5 p.m.

Meeks said his department took a juvenile into custody for questioning, and that juvenile is being held in a Dothan detention center.

According to Reynolds’ obituary at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana, Linda Michelle Brooks Reynolds would have celebrated her 50th birthday in January.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Reynolds, and mother, Patsy Brooks.
