The Florala Lady Wildcats came away with a 46-34 win over Highland Home in the opening round of the Red Level Christmas Tournament on Thursday.

Florala jumped out front with quick bucket from Meredith Parker and then a 3-pointer from Laken Hadley pushed the Lady Wildcat lead up to 7-4.

Hadley continued to play strong the entire game as she led the way for the Lady Wildcats.

With the game close in the final period, Hadley sparked her team with 10 points in the fourth to help give the Lady Wildcats the win.

Hadley finished the game with 24 points including four 3-pointers.

Sharea Coleman finished the game with eight points.

Me. Parker, Makayla Parker and Jerilyn Kemp each had four points.

“We didn’t set the tone like we talked about last week,” Florala head coach David Bass said. “We kind of came out flat footed and timed. We fought through the adversity and came through in the end. We just have to learn how to play hard for four quarters.”

The Lady Wildcats will play T.R. Miller today at 3 p.m.
