The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs put up a strong fight, but fell to the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers 55-29 on Friday night in the semifinals of the Red Level Christmas tournament.

T.R. Miller went up 7-0 before a 3-pointer from Katie Black cut the lead down to 7-3.

The Lady Tigers then went on a rampage as they came away with multiple steals that they turned into easy transition layups to take a 23-8 lead into the second period.

T.R. Miller continued to lay on the gas as they went up 45-8 at halftime.

The Lady Bulldogs never quit fighting, but were unable to come back.

“They are the No. 2 for a reason,” Andalusia head coach Harrison Mims said of T.R. Miller. “They do a good job over there and I’m real impressed. It’s just a process. You have to take the highs and the lows. Yesterday, we were on top of the world. I tell our girls, ‘You’ve got six hours to enjoy it and then get back to work.’ That’s the mentality that we are carrying into tomorrow. I tell them to belive in the process and I’m going to believe in the process as well.”

Andalusia will play Georgiana today at 3 p.m., for third place in the tournament.
