Yikes! 14 inches of rain in a month?

Rainfall totals in December trended much higher than the same period in 2017, according to data released this week by the Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority.
The Choc-Pea Authority recorded 14.38 inches of rain at its collection point on the Yellow River on Hwy 84, inches of rain at Yellow River on Hwy. 84, compared to 0.92 inches of rain in December of 2017.
Choc-Pea also monitors rainfall at Yellow River on Hwy. 55. In December, the agency recorded 10.56 inches of rain on Hwy. 55, compared to 0.48 inches of rain in the same period of 2017.
Over the course of the full year, the Choc-Pea recorded 57.68 inches of rain on Hwy. 55, compared to 58 inches in 2017.
On Hwy. 84, they recorded 80.80 inches in 2018, compared to 71.70 inches in 2017.
