Florala Wildcats split with Brantley

The Florala Wildcats split varsity games with Brantley on Tuesday night in Brantley.

GIRLS

FLORALA 54,

BRANTLEY 36

In the first varsity game of the evening, the Lady Wildcats came away with a 54-36 victory.

“I feel like we played really well,” Florala head coach David Bass said. “We rebounded extremely well, we took care of the ball and we limited our turnovers. We didn’t shoot the ball well, but overall I was very satisfied with how we played.

The Lady Wildcats got a big game from Sharae Coleman who finished the game with 18 points.

Lakin Hadley had another big game for the Lady Wildcats as she finished with 16 points.

BOYS

BRANTLEY 67,

FLORALA 65

The Wildcats put up a strong effort, but came up short in a 67-65 loss to Brantley.

Both teams came out strong, but Brantley was up 21-20 going into the second period.

At halftime time, Brantley was up 29-28.

Florala continued to battle, but missed free throws down the stretch sealed the win for Brantley.

Rashaad Coleman led the Wildcats with 29 points.
