In recognition of this week’s national championship game, and the upcoming Super Bowl, First Baptist Church Whatley Street’s monthly Movie and a Message will have a football them next Saturday.

Organizer Darrell Thomas said participants will have an opportunity to Skype with local football hero Nico Johnson, who currently lives in Texas. The movie will be “Remember the Titans.”

The event begins at 5 p.m. and will include “tailgating” themed refreshments.

Thomas also encourages participants to wear a favorite jersey or team T-shirt. He issued a special invitation to the AHS Bulldogs.
