The Opp City Council agreed last night to sell 4.79 acres of land on the southeast side of the bypass by Hideaway Road to Billy Whitehead.

“There were two people that were interested in buying this land,” Opp Mayor Becky Bracke said. “We surveyed the land then the council decided to sell it, so we got two offers from guys that had pieces of their land that were adjoined to the property.”

The council also:

• Abate property at 602 West Ida.

• Approved the purchase of a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2019 Ford F150 for the Opp Police Department.
