The Florala Wildcats played without a few key players as they fell to Elba on Friday night in Class 1A, Area 3 championship game in Elba.

Florala played with Rashaad Coleman (ankle) and Mekhi James (flu).

Both players are expected to be ready in time for Tuesday’s sub-regional game.

With the loss, the Wildcats will have to travel to Georgiana on Tuesday for the Class 1A sub-regional match.

The winner between Georgiana and Florala will earn a bid to the Southeast Regional tournament next week in Montgomery.
