Sixth grade students in Matt McQuay’s social studies class show Katie Ingrams’ students how Andalusia Elementary’s new zSpace computers work. zSpace allows people to interact with simulated objects in virtual environments as if they are real.  Each computer has 3D glasses, and a stylus with which students can move the images on a screen and through which they can feel motion. Labs have been added in each of the city schools.

“It was my kids’ first time using the technology, as well, but they were glad to help show the younger ones how exciting these new devices can make learning,” McQuay said.
