Teen charged for firing shots into residence

An Andalusia teen has been charged with a Class C felony after he allegedly fired shots into a residence Friday afternoon.

Andalusia Police officers responded to reported shots being fired into a residence on Powell Circle, just off the South Bypass, just before 2 p.m. Friday.

The suspects, one male and one female, were located a few minutes later at a residence on River Falls Street. Both were taken into custody.

Sgt. Gene Jackson said one male suspect, 19-year-old Zachary Logan Brogden of Andalusia, was been arrested and charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, a Class C felony.

Sgt. Jackson stated that pending further investigation, more charges could be forthcoming.
