Virginia Dare

Thomley McCrory

Mrs. Virginia Dare Thomley McCrory, 85, of Andalusia, passed away Friday February 22, 2019, at South East Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 24, at Foreman Funeral Home with Brother Daniel Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Diane) McCrory of Greenville; her daughter and son-in-law, ReNay (Ceil) Smith of Andalusia; her daughter and son-in-law, Laura (Ritchie) Grissett of Beaver Creek, Ohio; her grandchildren, Chad (Kelly) McCrory of Andalusia, Shae (Michael) Page of Andalusia, Shelley Boswell of Andalusia, Lydia Grissett of Cullman, Ryan Grissett of Beaver Creek, Ohio; her great-grandchildren, Blakely and Sutton McCrory, Annistyn, Jack and Allie Grace Page, Hollyn Boswell, Aurora Grantham and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry McCrory.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pilots for Christ.

Pamela Jean Sanders

Mrs. Pamela Jean Sanders, of Andalusia, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, in a Pensacola hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Keahey Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Tatum will officiate. The family will receive friends at Keahey Chapel one hour prior to services.

Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Ronnie Sanders of Andalusia; daughter, Veronica Jean Kelley of Andalusia; mother, Dorothy Jean Brogden of Dozier; grandchildren, Cayden Lawson, Isabella Kelley and Roman Kelley; great-grandchild, Addalyn Paul; brothers, Tommy (Cathy) Sasser of Andalusia; Kenny Roy Slawson of Andalusia, Kenny Devon (Eunice) Slawson of Andalusia; sisters, Teresa Slawson of Brantley; Kimberly Dawn Slawson.

Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker most of her life, a beloved mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Slawson, and a sister, Amelia Denise Slawson. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

SANDRA J. CASON

Heaven gained a beautiful lady on Tues., Feb. 12, 2019.

Sandra J. Cason, formerly of Andalusia, passed away after a short illness.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathi (Butch) Kelley of Andalusia, a son, Steven (Laura) Bresson of Salem, Ala., a brother, Richard (Cheryl) Babkowski of Stephenville, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

She had nine grandchildren, Brook (Tom) Cabello of Orlando, Hannah (Brandon) Averill of Gantt, Erica Kelley of Andalusia, Abigail (Garrett) Powell of Andalusia, Jordan Bresson of Denver, Colo., Tyler (Liz) Bresson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Chelsea Russell and Kyndall Hogg both of Warner Robins, Ga.

She had nine great grandchildren, Barrett and -owan Averill, Drew Kelley, Eva Lynn Powell, Sofia and Maita Cabello, Liam Bresson and Landen and Griffen Russell.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Cason, her parents, Stanley and Gertrude Babkowski, and a brother, Roger Babkowski.

A memorial service will be held May 4, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Zain Rock Cemetery on Boggon Level, in Andalusia.

LEIGH PARKER

Mrs. Leigh Parker, age 51, of Rose Hill, passed away Thu., Feb. 21, 2019, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sun., Feb. 24, at Macedonia Methodist Church with Brother Derwood Cleland officiating the service, with interment in Macedonia Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

She is survived by her husband, Waylon Parker of Rose Hill; daughters, Tyre Anderson of Kinston and Skylar Parker of Rose Hill; sons, Tyler Anderson of Rose Hill and Christian Parker of Spanish Fort; parents, Donnie and Dottie Gail Williams of Rose Hill; and grandmother, Mary Andrews of Rose Hill.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Donita Williams, grandfather, Walt Andrews, and uncle Billy Andrews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund.
