Brantley rallies to 3-2 win over Opp

The Opp Bobcats took the lead first, but the Brantley Bulldogs rallied for a 3-2 victory on Monday in Brantley.

Lane Ballard reached second off of an error to start the top of the first inning and then came around to score on a 1-out single from River Day.

Jesse Coon then moved Day to second with a single.

The Bobcats loaded the bases on another error before the Bulldogs picked up back-to-back strikeouts to end the frame.

Jake Kilcrease dropped down a bunt single to start the bottom of the first inning, but the Bobcats then got three straight ground outs to end the inning.

The Bulldogs had a big third inning that allowed then to go on top 3-1.

Greyson Layton doubled to start the bottom of the third inning and then a double from Tucker Kilcrease allowed Layton to come around to score.

Parker Odom then drew a 2-out walk and then a passed ball pushed T. Kilcrease around to score.

Grant Odom followed with a single to put Brantley up 3-1.

The score remained 3-1 until the Bobcats plated their final run in the top of the seventh inning.

Dalton Grider drew a 2-out walk and then a single from Trey Sprulin drove in Grider for the final run of the game.
