Sean Dietrich, who is known for the inspirational “Sean of the South” writing he shares daily online, will speak at a fundraiser for the Wesley Heirs and Blue Lake Methodist Camp next week.

Dietrich’s writing has appeared in The Tallahassee Democrat, The Mobile Press Register, South Magazine, Yellowhammer News, and Thomasville Magazine; and he has authored eight books. He posts to his blog, Sean of the South, daily.

The Wesley Heirs are retired United Methodist clergy and their spouses. The Rev. Mark Stewart of Arrington, Tenn., and formerly of Andalusia, encouraged locals to join the retired clergy for the fundraiser.

Dietrich will  speak at Oakwood Lodge, Blue Lake, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12. Tickets are $15 at the door. Those who would like to join the Wesley Heirs for supper can make a reservation for supper at 5:30 p.m. by calling 334-222-5407. Supper is $10 per person and includes a salad bar, meat, three vegetables, bread, dessert and tea.               –Staff reports
