Baldwin named 1A Player of the Year

Pleasant Home superstar River Baldwin has been named Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 1A Player of the Year for the third straight season.

Baldwin has been one of the most decorated basketball players in the history of Alabama High School basketball.

Currently, Baldwin is in Atlanta where she will play in tonight’s McDonalds’ All-American basketball game at 5:30 p.m., on ESPN.

Along with being named to the McDonalds’ All-American team, Baldwin has been selected to play in the 2019 Jordan Brand National All-Star game in Las Vegas on April 20.

She also recently participated in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game where she led Team Alabama to a 101-82 win.

Baldwin was named MVP of the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game.

She is one of the highest ranked prospects in the country and she has signed her Letter of Intent to continue her playing career at Florida State University.
