The Opp Bobcats jumped out front in the first frame and never looked back as they knocked off Clarke County 13-2 on Tuesday night in the 2019 Butch Youmans Spring Break Tournament in Opp.

Logan Ross singled to start the top of the first inning and then came around to score a sacrifice fly ball from Jesse Coon.

The Bobcats opened up the flood gates in the top of the second inning.

River Day started things with a bunt single and then singles from Case Short and Ellis loaded the bases full of Bobcats.

Brady James drove in one run with a single.

Short then scored on a wild pitch and then a sacrifice fly Ross put Opp up 4-0.

Lane Ballard followed with a run-scoring triple and then Coon drove in a run with an error to put the Bobcats up 6-0.

In the top of the third inning, Opp scored two runs off back-to-back bases loaded walks.

Trey Spurlin then put the Bobcats up 10-1 with a single to center field.

Dalton Grider then singled to put Opp on top 11-1.

Ross, Ballard, Coon and Spurlin drove in two runs each for the Bobcats in the win.

Grider picked up the win on the mound after striking out three batters and allowed just two earned runs in three innings of work.
