JAMES CARLOS DAVIS

Mr. James Carlos Davis, 86, of the Pleasant Home community, passed away Monday April 1, 2019, at his residence.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church, with a celebration of life service to follow at noon. Brother Ashley McKathan will officiate the service.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Rebecca Garrett Davis; three sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan and Laura Davis of Andalusia, Mark and Connie Davis, Kevin and Joy Davis of Saraland, Ala.; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Ronnie Barbaree of Andalusia; his grandchildren, Natalie Davis, Erica Davis, Steven (Jessica) Davis, Brandon (Valerie) Davis, Garrett (Amy) Davis, Lauren (Dan) Stephenson, Tyler (Kathryn) Barbaree, Melissa Williams, Amanda Bryant, Lori Poore, Morgan Bledsoe; seven great-grandchildren, Tinsley Davis, Carson Davis, Laila Davis, Cady Jane Davis, Lou Ella Stephenson, Jack Finnlee Barbaree, and Declan Baker.

He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandi Davis-Ward; his parents, Athan and Lottie Davis; and sisters, Lovenia Halford and Faye White.

Born on October 12,1932 in Covington county, Alabama, Carl became a lifelong resident of the Pleasant Home community where he reared his family. During his earlier years, he served is country in the Korean War.

Carl was a man full of love, compassion and contagious laughter that affected everyone he came in contact with. He will always be remembered for his stories, his love of family, and his willingness to help anyone who needed a helping hand. He will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pleasant Home Baptist Church cemetery fund.

LANSDON

Mr. Thomas Hilton Lansdon, 65, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., April 1, 2019.

A graveside service will be held at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery on Thurs., April 4th at 11 a.m. Visitation was held from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., Wednesday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and David Adams of Opp; two nephews, Sidney (Amy) Catoe of Andalusia, Kenneth Catoe of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a great niece Taylor Catoe and great nephew Dustin Davis.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
