Red Level sweeps Georgiana

The Red Level Tigers swept the Georgiana Panthers on Saturday at Red Level.

GAME ONE

RED LEVEL 17, GEORGIANA 4

Red Level opened the day with a big 17-4 victory.

Braxton Lee finished the game 3-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI.

Zavier Phillips finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Cody Shepard, Chance Russell and Kade Green drove in two runs each.

GAME TWO

RED LEVEL 13,

GEORGIANA 3

In the final game of the day, Red Level finished the sweep with a 13-3 victory.

Tucker Livings pace the Tigers going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.

Ethan Edson and Shepard drove in two runs each.

“This was a special day for us as we honored our seniors Ethan Edson, Cody Shepard and A.J. Hudson,” Red Level head coach Todd Smith said. “We are extremely proud of the hard work these young men have put in over the years. They will be sorely missed and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. I was extremely proud of the way our guys played today. We are finally starting to see the ball and hit it well. Most importantly though, we are really playing solid defense. We are excited to finish out area play with a perfect record.”

Red Level will host St. Luke’s Fri., April 21 for the opening round of the Class 1A playoffs.

Game one is set for 1 p.m., and game two is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

If necessary game three would be Saturday at 1 p.m.
