Indigo Festival set for National Forest Friday

The public is invited to attend the annual Eastern Indigo Snake & Wildlife Festival in the Conecuh National Forest this Friday, May 3, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The event is planned for the Open Pond Recreation Area on Tower Road.

District Ranger Tim Mersmann said that a number of Covington County students will be in attendance, but the public is also invited.

Participants will have the opportunity to see, touch and learn as they interact with wildlife and the biologists who manage them.
