Several local athletes set to compete in 2019 state meet

Several local athletes hit qualifying times to earn spots in this weekend’s state championship at Cullman High School.

RED LEVEL

GIRLS

Ruby Carroll achieved qualifying times in the 400-meter dash, the 200-meter dash and the 300-meter hurdles.

Madison Shepard earned spots in the 1600-meter run and the 800-meter run.

Natalie Feagin will compete at state in the discus throw and the javelin throw.

Harley Land earned a spot to compete in the javelin throw.

BOYS

Joel Phillips hit times to land him spots in the 110-meter high hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles and the 4×400-meter relay race.

Jonathan Short will compete in the discus throw.

Matt Cook earned spots to compete in the long jump and triple jump.

Gary Schreiner qualified for a spots in the discus throw and javelin throw.

Brody Ingram will compete in the 200-meter dash, the 400-meter dash and the 4×400-meter relay.

Dylan Browder earned spots in the 4×800-meter relay and the 4×400-meter relay.

Blair Hanks qualified to compete in the 110-meter high hurdles and the 4×400-meter relay.

Mitchell Baker achieved a qualifying time to compete the 300-meter hurdles.

Tyler Harrelson will compete in the 110-meter high hurdles and the high jump.

Jessie Henderson earned spots in the discus throw and javelin throw.

Justin Godwin, Saben Elmore and Jackson Ingram will compete in the 4×800-meter relay.

Andy Etheridge and Bradyn Hall will be alternates for the 4×800-meter relay.

Cheyenne Regan earned spots in the 100-meter hurdles, the high jump and the long jump.

BOYS

Zane Weeks will compete in the 800-meter run and the 1600-meter run.

Chance Bedsole earned a spot in the 110-meter high hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles, long jump and the high jump.

Austin Howell picked up a spot to compete in the high jump.

Nealand Stone qualified for a spot in the shot put.

Aubrey Pittman earned a spot in the 200-meter dash.

River Baldwin picked up a spot to compete in the shot put and discus throw.

Peyton Huckabaa will compete in the javelin throw.

BOYS

Ross Wilson earned a spot to compete in the 400-meter dash.

Matthew O’Rourke qualified for spots in the 800-meter relay and the 1600-meter run.

Austin Gatewood will compete in the high jump.

Kaleb Piland earned a spot to compete in the javelin throw.

Eric Bradley picked up a spot to compete in the javelin throw.

Nicholas Holley qualified for a spot in the javelin throw.

Trinity Jennings earned a spot to compete in the 1600-meter run.

Aryanna Billips is set to compete in the high jump, the triple jump, the long jump and the javelin throw.

Leah Thompson achieved s spot to compete in the discus throw.

Beth Thompson qualified to compete in the discus throw.

BOYS

Tucker Reynolds is set to compete in the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run.

Justin Peeples earned a spot to compete in the 1600-meter run.

Ryan Mitchell will compete in the high jump and discus throw.

Hunter Stephens picked up a spot in the high jump.

The Class 1A, 2A and 3A state championship meets will be held at Cullman High School from May 3-4.
