CAROLYN BOATNER CUMBIE

Carolyn Boatner Cumbie died on May 15, 2019.

Survivors include her children, Caroline Picking (Ron), Bill Cumbie (Becky), James Cumbie (Ida Sue), John Cumbie (Elizabeth), Claire Cumbie-Drake (David) along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Andalusia on Sat., May 18, 2019 at noon. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts should be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Andalusia or to one’s favorite charity.

WASHO SMITH

Ms. Victoria Lee Washo Smith, age 71, of Opp, Alabama died Thurs., May 16, 2019, at her residence.

Victoria was known for her outgoing and spirited personality. She was currently employed by SmartStyle Hair Salon in Andalusia; and several years ago she owned her own salon, Looks and Locks, in downtown Andalusia. She loved her family, dogs and of course bowling.

Ms. Smith is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Alicia & Scott Martin and Winsalee and Scott DeLaney; brother, Brad Washo; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Lorraine Burns Washo and Robert Jerome Washo.

GAIL “GEE GEE” HAGOOD WILLIAMS

Mrs. Gail “Gee Gee” Hagood Williams, age 73, of River Falls passed away on Wed., May 15, 2019, at Andalusia Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Sat., May 18, 2019, from River Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Douglas and the Rev. Jim Walker officiating; interment will follow in River Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Special music will be played by Mark Gunter and Judy Capps.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joe Frank Williams of River Falls; daughter, Jodie Williams of Red Level; sons and daughter-in-law, Steven and Brooke Williams and Chad Williams all of Red Level; grandchildren, Kayley Williams, Langham Ward Williams, Courtland Williams, John Barrett Williams, and Callee Jo Williams; sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Woodward of Crestview and Janiece Hagood of Evergreen; brother-in-law, Mack (Angelica) Williams of Gulf Shores; special friends, Martha Watson and Judy Capps; and numerous nieces and nephews.    

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Winston Hagood of Evergreen, parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Williams of Red Level, and brother, Johnny Haygood.

Pallbearers will be: Greg Cole, C.N. Lloyd, Josh O’Ferrell, Durwood Cleland, Darren Capps, and Larry Gunter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Kilgore, Mark Gunter, and Sammy Brown.
