Andalusia High School Valedictorian Anna Brady has always been a perfectionist, which motivated her to become valedictorian.
“I enjoy competition,” Brady said. “And strive to do my best in academics and athletics.”
Brady said that the competition was kept alive between her classmates because she knew that a couple of them were either right ahead or right behind her.
“I have always had a couple classmates that I knew were either right ahead of me or right behind me,” Brady said. “That always kept the competition alive.”
She was actively involved at AHS in varsity cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, usher club, diamond dolls and peer helpers.
Brady said that her Mimi has always been a role model to her.
“She always held education in very high regard,” Brady said. “She felt that it was the best foundation a person could have to be successful in life.”
Outside of the classroom, she loves being with her friends, outdoor activities, babysitting and volunteering in her church nursery.
After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Alabama to pursue a nursing degree.
She is the daughter of Winfield and Meredith Brady and the granddaughter of Norma Riley, the late Perry Riley and the late Jim Brady and Lucy Brady.
