Even though the J.C. Penney’s is undergoing an external remodel, manager Tracy Brannon said that business has not slowed down.

“They are good about working during the early mornings and later in the afternoon,” Brannon said. “They are just doing the front of the building so there is nothing going on inside the store so our customers still shop like nothing is wrong.”

The construction on the face of J.C. Penney’s has been going on for about 10 days

“They have been working nonstop,” Brannon said. “They should be finishing up by Friday or Monday of next week.”

Brannon said that several customers have commented on the construction.

“Most of them are pretty excited to see what it will look like,” Brannon said. “I honestly think it will look pretty good. Most of the people coming in are asking if I know what is going in beside us in the mall, but I honestly don’t know.”
