Updated: Identity of woman found dead in Cypress Landing RV Park released

The Covington County Sheriff’s Department has identified Kimberly Dawn Pruitt, 52, of Miramar Beach, Fla., as the woman found dead Sunday afternoon at Cypress Landing RV Park.
Pruitt’s body has been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to determine her cause of death, Covington County Chief Deputy Todd Grimes said.
Grimes said the department was called to Cypress Landing RV Park Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. where they found the woman in an RV on the premises. Her cause of death was unknown.
The Covington County Sheriff’s Department has not released her identity.
The investigation is ongoing, he said.
