WILLIAM H. FUQUA

Mr. William H. Fuqua, age 89, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., June 1, 2019, at his residence. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Fuqua was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Andalusia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tues., June 4, 2019, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel in Andalusia with the Rev. Ed Ganus officiating. Interment will follow in the Veasey Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services (10 a.m.,) in the chapel.

Mr. Fuqua is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edna Smith Fuqua; one brother, Delmer (Jean) Fuqua of Crestview; sisters-in-law, Lavonia Fuqua, and Delayney Smith; brothers-in-law, Clermon (Dovie) Smith, Woodrow (Mary Sue) Smith, LaFelt Brannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Will and Betty Mae Fuqua; brothers, T.J. Fuqua, Maxwell Fuqua, and Gene Fuqua; sisters, Willie Mae Franklin, Foncilee Chavers, and Lillie Bell Henley; sister-in-law, Lois Brannon, and brother-in-law, Clifford “Tip” Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jody Smith, Carl Smith, Cody Smith, Dunston Brannon, Hilton Bozeman, and Jimmy Beasley.

PHALA JANE CLARK

Mrs. Phala Jane Clark, of Red Level, passed away Sun., June 2, 2019, at her residence. She was 65.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tues., June 4, 2019, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel in Andalusia with the Rev. Gary Holloway officiating. A eulogy will be given by Mason Halacker. Burial will follow in the Pigeon Creek Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia directing. Pallbearers will be Alan Smith, Mike Cain, Ricky Davis, Ivan Gray, Kenny Craig, and Jason Sport.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Clark; two children, Joe (Heatherlynne Lilly) Clark of Millbrook, Ala., and Phala Michelle Clark of Omaha, N.E.; granddaughter, Phala Withers; and two brothers, Bradley (Linda) McLelland of Andalusia, and Greg (Sandy) McLelland of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Clark and Gertrude Posey Clark; and two grandchildren, Candace Paige Goodson, and David Withers.

Mrs. Clark enjoyed arts and crafts. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Her memory will linger in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

CECIL L. DAY

Mr. Cecil L. Day, 96, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., June 2, 2019, at Andalusia Manor.

Mr. Day was a retired pharmacist who lived many years in Montgomery. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wed., June 5, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Michael McVay officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m., until 7:30 p.m., at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Barbara D. Henderson of Montgomery, Tammi and Royce Bass of Andalusia; one son and daughter-in-law, George A. and Joyce Day of Andalusia; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Sibyl Day, and his son, Larry Day.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Bass, Tyler Wingard, Christopher Day, Royce Bass, Cliff Ellis, and Chad Ellis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Day, Larry Vann and Jason Ellis.

Morrison

Mrs. Agnes Russell Morrison, age 84, of Opp, Alabama died Friday, May 31, 2019, at her home.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edgar Pete Morrison; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Allen Morrison & Cindy; daughter-in-law, Dianne Morrison; grandchildren, Tara Hardinger (Anthony Laney), Mindy Morrison (John Cottle) and Amy Nolen (Cale); great-grandchildren, Marc & Micah Laney, Lexie & Garrett Cross, Mandi Cottle, John Hayden Fuller, Jordan Allen Jacobs, Kelsey Suzanne Jacobs, Kylee Marie Jacobs & Carson Bentley Nolen; and great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Pierson Cross.

She was born in 1934 to her late parents, Pearlie and Charlie Russell. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Gary Morrison; brothers, C.T. Russell and James Russell and wife, Sarah; and sisters, Selma McCurley and husband, James, and Mary Lois Grimes and husband, Johnny.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019, from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Stewart Young will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Grimes, Wayne Grimes, John Cottle, Mike Russell, Cale Nolen and Joe Henley. JEANNETTE

THOMASON NALL

Mrs. Jeannette Thomason Nall, 92, Andalusia went to be with her Lord on Fri., May 31, 2019.

Her life was a living example of her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  With her true servant’s heart and compassion born of her love for Christ, she was constantly serving others and was the caretaker for many.  Jeannette attended New Home Congregational Church for more than 70 years and served in various capacities, including that of church treasurer.  Retired from Alatex after 40+ years, she continued to lovingly serve those less fortunate by assisting the elderly and shut-ins through the local agency on aging.

Preceded in death by two husbands, Athon Thomason and Leroy Nall, her son Ronnie Thomason, her two grandsons, Tim Raley and Keith Thomason, her three sisters and a brother, Jeannette held fast to her faith to provide her Christian witness to her surviving family members including her daughter, Carolyn Raley (J.C.), daughter-in-law Judy Snowden (Mike), granddaughters, Michelle Whiteley (Tim) and Kimberly Collins (Sean), great-grandchildren, Megan Tillman (John) and Caleb, Sarah and Hannah Whiteley, and one great-great grandson, John Henry Tillman.  Her family also includes numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family is especially appreciative to the staff of Hospice of Montgomery and to the many friends and neighbors who loved her well.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tues., June 4, 2019, at New Home Congregational Church on Plywood Mill Road with Brother Larry Stewart officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery.
