MARY MELINDA MAYNOR

Mrs. Mary Melinda Maynor, age 62, of Andalusia passed away on Mon., June 3, 2019, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thu., June 6, 2019, from First United Methodist Church with Brother Scott Stevens officiating the service; interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., Wednesday evening at Foreman Funeral Home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services at the church.

Mrs. Maynor is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Sonny and Sarah Maynor and Jordan and Lauren Maynor all of Andalusia; daughter and son-in-law, Meg and Chase Shelnutt of Andalusia; grandchildren, Cooper Maynor, Parker Maynor, Von Maynor, Owen Shelnutt, Arlen Shelnutt, and Donnie Maynor; father, Earl Manning of Roanoke, Ala.; mother, Mary Manning of Roanoke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Arlen Maynor, Jr.

Pallbearers will be: Chase Shelnutt, Matt Manning, Aaron Barton, David Daniel, David Tatum, Hunter Hobson, Chris Jones, and Jeffrey Douglas.

JEANNETTE  THOMASON NALL

Mrs. Jeannette Thomason Nall, 92, Andalusia went to be with her Lord on Fri., May 31, 2019.

Her life was a living example of her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  With her true servant’s heart and compassion born of her love for Christ, she was constantly serving others and was the caretaker for many.  Jeannette attended New Home Congregational Church for more than 70 years and served in various capacities, including that of church treasurer.  Retired from Alatex after 40+ years, she continued to lovingly serve those less fortunate by assisting the elderly and shut-ins through the local agency on aging.

Preceded in death by two husbands, Athon Thomason and Leroy Nall, her son Ronnie Thomason, her two grandsons, Tim Raley and Keith Thomason, her three sisters and a brother, Jeannette held fast to her faith to provide her Christian witness to her surviving family members including her daughter, Carolyn Raley (J.C.), daughter-in-law Judy Snowden (Mike), granddaughters, Michelle Whiteley (Tim) and Kimberly Collins (Sean), great-grandchildren, Megan Tillman (John) and Caleb, Sarah and Hannah Whiteley, and one great-great grandson, John Henry Tillman.  Her family also includes numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family is especially appreciative to the staff of Hospice of Montgomery and to the many friends and neighbors who loved her well.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tues., June 4, 2019, at New Home Congregational Church on Plywood Mill Road with Brother Larry Stewart officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery.

CECIL L. DAY

Mr. Cecil L. Day, 96, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., June 2, 2019, at Andalusia Manor.

Mr. Day was a retired pharmacist who lived many years in Montgomery. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wed., June 5, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Michael McVay officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 p.m., until 7:30 p.m., at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Barbara D. Henderson of Montgomery, Tammi and Royce Bass of Andalusia; one son and daughter-in-law, George A. and Joyce Day of Andalusia; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Sibyl Day, and his son, Larry Day.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Bass, Tyler Wingard, Christopher Day, Royce Bass, Cliff Ellis, and Chad Ellis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Day, Larry Vann and Jason Ellis.
