The Andalusia Junior High girls’ basketball team had a fun day of camp earlier in the week with former Bulldog Courtney Ward.

Ward was a standout point guard for the Florida State Seminoles from 2007-2011. Ward is currently the head coach for Pike Road’s girls’ basketball team.

“This is the fourth year for our AJHS girls basketball summer camp,” AJHS coach Rose White-Parker said. “Coach Courtney Ward, originally from Andalusia, is now coaching at Pike Road. She has been a blessing to our program here at Andalusia Junior High School.”

White-Parker said that the team always enjoys Ward’s camp.

“The girls here at Andalusia Junior High School always want to see what coach Ward has in store for me,” White-Parker said.

White-Parker said that Ward enjoyed the camp as well.

“Coach Ward said this group of girls are truly dedicated to the game,” White-Parker said. “She sure enjoyed showing them things to help them for their upcoming season. Thanks coach Ward from all of us here in Andalusia.”
