Taylor Elaine Godwin of Andalusia and Andre Joseph Bassett of California are engaged to be wed, July 6, 2019.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Steve and Deborah Godwin and the granddaughter of Bill and Judy Godwin.

She graduated from Pleasant Home School in 2013 and graduated from Troy University with a degree in biology and biomedical science.

She is currently working on her PharmD.

The groom-elect is the son of Ikuko Shiga.

He graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in Los Angeles, Cali., in 2008, and graduated from Fayettville State University in North Carolina, with his master’s degree in business administration.

Bassett is currently working with the U.S. Army.

The ceremony and reception will be held at Southside Baptist Church in Andalusia.
