DEA: 25.9 million units of opioids brought into Covington County

According to data from the Drug Enforcement Agency, Covington County brought in 24.9 million dosage units of 14 different opioids over a six-year span.

On July 15, 2019, Judge Dan Aaron Polster of the Northern District of Ohio ordered data covering opioid shipments from 2006 to 2012 to be made publicly available.

The 14 opioids listed were codeine, dihydrocodeine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, levorphanol, meperidine, morphine, opium powdered, oxycodone, oxymorphone, tapentadol, buprenorphine and methadone.

Individually each opioid dosage units were:
