Be a humble servant.  Christ is set forth as our example in Philippians 2:6-8.

God will direct what to do through the Word and the Holy Spirit, and give you the will to perform it; as stated in Philippians 2:13.

God also instructs what negative attitudes we are not to have while we are so doing, in Philippians 2:14-16a.

Furthermore, God gives us the proper attitude we are to have as we serve.

This attitude serves as the antidote against negative attitudes such as murmurings and disputings.  What is the antidote?  Listen to the following two verses:  “Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, Rejoice”-Philippians 4:4.  “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”_Philippians 4: 6-7.

Let me encourage you to look up the list of verses which speak about rejoicing in the Bible.  The list is quite extensive!  One in the Old Testament, Psalms 68:3 commands, ”But let the righteous be glad, let them rejoice Before God, yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.”

After all, our citizenship is in heaven; and listen to the promise we can rejoice in as  stated in Philippians 3:20-21_”For our citizenship is in heaven from which also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who shall change our lowly body that it may be fashioned like His glorious body, according to the working by which He able even to suddue all things unto Himself.”

In this connection read I Corinthians 15:54-58.

Finally, claim the promise of Philippians 4:13_”I can do all things through Christ, Who strengtheneth me.”  This will give God the glory and give us a positive attitude.
