TAMELA “TAMMY” SHANK KERVIN

Mrs. Tamela “Tammy” Shank Kervin, age 61, passed away Wed., Aug. 28, 2019.

She was born February 7, 1958 in Danville, Ill., to Philip Shank and Barbara Shank White.

Kervin was a resident of Defuniak Springs, Fla. She was Presbyterian by faith and was a member of Glendale Presbyterian Church.

She graduated in 1976, from Ashland High School in Ashland, Ill. She also graduated from Northwest Florida State College receiving her associates of art degree.

She worked as a Para Professional at Maude Sanders Elementary School for 17 years. She enjoyed working with children, also she enjoyed sending greeting cards and walking on the beach. She especially enjoyed dancing and listening to her 80’s music.

Mrs. Kervin is preceded in death by her father and one grandson, Phillip Brooks.

Mrs. Kervin is survived by her mother Barbara Shank White of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; her loving husband of 41 years William Steve Kervin of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; her sons Nathan Kervin of Defuniak Springs and Jeff Kervin of Jasper, Ala.; her daughters Dollie Joey Jo Gatschet and husband Dion of Defuniak Springs, Fla., Jennifer Brooks and husband David of Wetumpka, Ala., Renee Bellew and husband Anthony of Springville, Ala.; her brothers Scott Shank and wife Donna of Panama City, Fla., John Shank and wife Eva of Birmingham, Ala., Wesley Shank and wife Crystal of LaGrange, Ga.; grandchildren Jessi Kervin, Riley Kervin, Taylor Lawless, Kimberly Roberston, Rachel Miller, Lauren Henderson, McKenzie Bellew, Carter Bellew; great grandchildren Claire, Colby, Jacob, Addison, Elijah, Ethan, Lilliana; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., until 10 a.m., Tue., Sept. 3, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tue., Sept. 3, 2019, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Reverend Bill Richoux and Reverend Anthony Bellew officiating.

Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m., Tue., Sept. 3, 2019, in Kervin Family Cemetery; 37472 Welcome Church Rd. Red Level, Alabama 36474

Flowers are being accepted as well as donations to the National Association of Mental Illness; 571 Mooney Rd. Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
