The Opp Bobcats moved to 2-0 in region play with a 22-7 victory over the Houston Academy Raiders on Friday night in Dothan.

Hal Smithart had a big night for the Bobcats.

Smithart was 11-for-25 passing for 242 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed the ball nine times for 58 yards.

Ashton Patel carried the ball 10 times for 52 yards and one touchdown. Patel also caught two passes for 62 yards.

Erik Matthews hauled in four catches for 64 yards and two touchdowns.

Zee Ridgeway caught two passes for 77 yards.

On defense, James Cornelius turned in a career-high 17 tackles.

Zac Ridgeway came in with 15 tackles.

Thomas Glisson added 13 tackles.

Brady James came up with 10 tackles and one interception.

Robbie Gafford and Wyatt Horn totaled eight tackles each.

Brady Lester had seven tackles and a fumble recovery.

Ethan Cox picked up six tackles.

Opp will travel to Geneva on Friday night for a region game with the Panthers.
