Mrs. Lottie Mae Wheeler, 77, formerly of Lockhart, AL passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019, in Columbus, Georgia.

Viewing and visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019.  The funeral services will start 2 p.m. at St. Matthews A.M.E. Methodist Church in Lockhart, AL with interment following at Lockhart Cemetery.

Survivors include Claudine Thrash and Tommy Fuller of Columbus, GA; Arthur (Teresa) Wheeler of Lockhart, AL;  Leroy (Arisa) Wheeler and Coranetta Bradley of Columbus, GA; Johnnie B. (Regina) Wheeler of Clarksville, TN; Regina (Wayne) Bowden of Rochester, NY; Columbus (Sandra) Wheeler of Columbus, GA; sister-in-law Mary L.H. Wheeler of Anderson, IN; aunt Lessie Carlton of Detroit, MI; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon C. Wheeler; her parents, Miles and Julia Mae Handy; her brothers, Johnnie Rollins and Willie C. Handy; and other relatives.

The repast will be held at Carver Community Center, 2453 Martin Luther King St., Florala, AL 36442.
