A barn on Cool Springs Road in Opp burned to the ground Monday morning.

Opp Fire Chief Cory Spurlin said OFD was dispatched at 7:30 a.m. Monday to the structure fire.

“Engine 7 arrived to a barn fully involved with exposures and requested mutual aid assistance from Elba Fire and Union Grove VFD,” he said.

Also responding were Haynes Ambulance, Opp Police, Covington County Sheriff’s Department, and Covington Electric.

No injuries were reported, he said.
