IMOGENE DAVIS STOKES

Mrs. Imogene Davis Stokes, age 92, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., Dec. 4, 2019 in Enterprise, Ala.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sat., Dec. 7, 2019, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Greg Hancey officiating the service. Interment will be in Andalusia Memorial cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her step-daughter; Linda Hinson of Kinston, Ala., and her step-daughter-in-law; Linda Stokes of Canal Fulton, Ohio, three grandchildren; Lindsey Stokes of Cleveland, Ohio, Lorna Stokes of England, and Brandon Hinson of Augusta, Ga, one sister; Linda Strickland (Jimmy) of Enterprise, Ala., and three sisters-in-law; Ann Davis of Elba, Ala., Betty Davis of Opp, Ala., and Jeanette Davis of Wicksburg, Ala.

Flowers will be accepted.

JEANETTE MOORE

Jeanette Moore, 93, went peacefully into the arms of her heavenly Father on December 3, 2019, after a short illness.

Until 2008, she spent her adult life in Andalusia, where she and her husband owned and operated a car and truck dealership.  She kept the accounting records for all the franchises.

She was a long-time faithful leader and servant at the First Baptist Church of Andalusia, where she led the Children’s Bible Drill, taught youth Sunday School, mentored young ladies, and served on numerous committees.  In 2008, she moved to Little Rock and became active in Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hartwell and Irene Baggett Floyd; her husband of 43 years, M. Lamar Moore; and her son, James L. Moore.  She is survived by a sister, Joyce Diehl of Walnut Creek, California; her son, W. David Moore (Becky) of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Holly Reding of Little Rock and Joy Moore of Jackson, Tennessee; and three great-grandsons, Isaiah, Eli and Benjamin Reding.

On Monday, December 9, there will be a graveside service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Andalusia City Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Andalusia. The family will receive visitors for an hour before the memorial service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  In Little Rock, there will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 700 E. Three Notch St., Andalusia, AL 36420.
