The Andalusia Ballet announced Saturday the postponement of classes for othe next few weeks in order to protect its dancers from the novel coronavirus.

The following is from an email sent out by the ballet to parents and students:

“You are our priority!  Our desire is for our families and community to be as healthy and safe as possible during this time.  Based on the information available and the guidelines set forth by state and national health and governmental officials, we have been assessing what our most responsible course of action should be.  Our hope is that by taking every possible precaution, we can help to mitigate the potential effects of COVID-19 in our community.
For those reasons, Andalusia Ballet will be closed from Monday, March 16, through Sunday, April 5.
At this time, our Spring Showcase performance in May will continue as planned; however, we will continue to monitor the situation.”
