Three properties were deemed public nuisances and an alley vacate at the Opp City Council Meeting on Monday.

Resolution 2020-15 is regarding a property on 400 Champion Drive. The yard is overgrown and the carport is cluttered with debris. The city has received multiple complaints from the neighbors..

105 Terry Drive was also deemed a public nuisance. Mayor Becky Bracke said that the roof of the mobile home on the property is falling in, which is unsafe.

The next resolution is concerning a vacant alley behind 506 East Ida Avenue. “The property had been vacated for a long time but it hasn’t been deemed until now,” Bracke said.

Resolution 2020-18 is of 102 Walker Street. The roof that was put on the building is not sturdy according to the mayor. “When the wind blows, it blows up with it,” Bracke said. The yard is also overgrown.
