Cypress Landing RV Park is planning a fun-filled weekend of family-friendly activities for Labor day weekend. The weekend festivities will begin on Friday, September 4 with a live band. Livingproof, a band based out of Ozark, will start the weekend off in the barn, said Dolores Moody.
“We’re kicking off Labor Day weekend Friday night in the barn. We’re having a barn dance, so everyone is encouraged to wear their hats and boots,” Moody said. “This will be free to the public and anybody and everybody is welcome.”
The festivities will continue on through Saturday with a variety of family-oriented activities for everyone to enjoy at the park.
“Saturday we’ll be doing children’s games, a three-legged race, a bucket toss game, and we’re going to have fun with the kids at the park,” Moody said.
The music will continue on throughout the weekend thanks to bluegrass pickers who will be at the park, according to Moody.
“Bluegrass pickers are going to be picking at their campsite over the weekend and Saturday night at 6 p.m., we will have karaoke,” Moody said.
“It’s going to be a very family-oriented weekend. We will offer masks at the barn dance and if you want to sit away from others, we will have seating set up where people can social distance. We want people to enjoy the park and the lake here with us,” Moody said. “The park owner, Clifton Hall, is extending invitations to anyone and everyone to join us.”
Moody hopes that the community will come together, safely, to enjoy the holiday weekend.
“We are trying to encourage families to come out,” Moody said. “We know COVID-19 has everyone weary still, but we hope they will enjoy the weekend.”
