BRENDA WORLEY

Mrs. Brenda Worley of the Harmony Community passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2020.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2020, at Harmony Baptist Church.  Rev. Greg Cotter and Rev. Keith Ray will officiate.

Left to cherish her memory, sons, Donald Worley (Cindy) and William Worley; daughter, Cindy Rene Harris (Mike); brother, William Hinton Butler; grandchildren, Bret Kilpatrick, Kyle Kilpatrick, Dustin Worley, Austin Worley, and Garrett Harris; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Kilpatrick, Trenton Kilpatrick, and Cohen Worley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Arnold Butler and Estelle Shiver Butler; and in 2018 by her loving husband of 58 years, Ray Worley. Brenda was a lifelong member of Harmony Baptist Church, she was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading her collection of Encyclopedias. She always loved gardening and had a vibrant and fun personality; Brenda will be greatly missed.

JULIANE (JULIE) (JUDY) MADDOX MIDDLEBROOKS

Juliane (Julie) (Judy) Maddox Middlebrooks, 70, of Guntersville, Ala., passed away Aug. 2, 2020 at her home.

Jjlie was born Dec. 22, 1949, in Andalusia to Tramble Leroy Maddox and Bessie Allie Ray Maddox.

Julie graduated from Andalusia High School in 1968. After she graduated, Julie went to work at Fort Rucker for several years.

At the time of her retirement, June 3, 2003, Julie was a contract specialist for the Department of the Army at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.

There will not be a formal service but there will be a celebration of life later when her brother, sister-in-law and nephew can come from Canada.

Julie is survived by her sister and caregiver, Joann Maddox Wilson of Guntersville; brother Roy Levaughn Maddox (Pat) of Barrie, Ontario, Canada; nephew, Dr. Glenn Lee Wilson (Kate) of Gadsden; nephew, Todd Eric Maddox of North Bennington, Vt; nephew, Christopher Vaughn Maddox (Kim) of Barrie, Ontario, Canada; stepdaughter, Deanna Middlebrooks Roberts (Dan) of Franktown, Co; stepson, Jeff Middlebrooks (Diane) of Decatur; step-granddaughter, Brooke Roberts Hall (Tanner) of Castlerock, Co; step-granddaughter, Allie Beth Roberts of Parker, Co; brother-in-law, Royce Middlebrooks (Peggy) of Guntersville; brother-in-law, Bryce Middlebrooks (Myra) of Jackson, Tenn.: nieces, Rachel Marie Wilson and Alexis Leigh Wilson of Gadsden and very special friends, Jennifer Kinney and her mother Joan of Guntersville.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Middlebrooks; mother, Bessie Allie Raley Maddox; father, Tramble Leroy Maddox and brother, Jimmy Ronald Maddox.
