Normally, at Opp Elementary School one person is named Teacher or Employee of the year, but with the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficulty of teaching, all teachers and staff were honored.

“At OES, we feel that all of our teachers, as well as our staff members, deserved to be named Teacher / Employee of the Year,” Principal Shawn Short said. “This year, due to the pandemic and the difficulty of teaching during these stressful times, we could not choose just one person. During a celebration reception, each employee was presented with an appreciation plaque purchased by our PTO. We are blessed with the best teachers and staff who always go above and beyond for our students.”
