Springate joins Andalusia Health as interim CEO

Brian Springate, RN, CPPS, has joined Andalusia Health (AH) as interim chief executive officer.
Prior to joining the AH team as an interim executive, Springate served in a variety of hospital leadership roles, including chief executive officer of Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, chief operating officer of Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, West Virginia, and chief nursing officer of Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris, Kentucky. Most recently he has been serving as chief operating officer of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
“I am passionate about the delivery of high-quality healthcare and have a strong track record of building physician and employee relationships, driving growth, championing quality, and ensuring operational success,” Springate said. “I look forward to leading the team at Andalusia Health as they execute a national search for a permanent CEO.”
Melissa, Springate’s wife of 29 years, joins him in Andalusia. Melissa is a seasoned radiologic technologist with more than 20 years of experience in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and has served in multiple quality roles throughout many organizations. Together, they have three grown children and multiple grandchildren, all of whom live in Kentucky.
The City of Andalusia is recognizing Springate with a reception from 4 until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, in City Hall. The public is invited.
